Once you establish a color scheme, it’s virtually impossible not to look like the perfect pair. The first looks are all about tans and black while the second is centered around grays. I love the second set of looks because it shows that even if the overall mood of each fit varies, a color palette will tie everything back together.
If your partner is wearing a bold print, go with a monochromatic look in a color that’s either in the print or a neutral that will complement the print.
Both these looks are wildly different but they are both a testament to the magic of having a collective vibe. Wearing similar pieces allows you the freedom to play with different colors and prints. On the left, they are both wearing tailored pieces whereas on the right, they’re both chilled out in sweats and kicks.
The goal is never to be matchy-matchy but finding ways to incorporate the same fabric within both fits guarantees a cohesive look. The way that the lace of Dwyane’s blazer matches back to the lace in Gabrielle’s dress is *chef’s kiss* perfection. Though both of these are more dressed-up, you can accomplish the same cohesion by both wearing something casual like denim.
Monochromatic looks as a duo are always a good idea. To make it easy, choose colors that fall within a theme and won’t clash (i.e. black/white, neutrals, pastels, bold colors, etc.)
